We understand that your personal information is important and we are committed to protecting and respecting this personal information. We therefore undertake to comply with applicable guidelines of Data Protection Legislation now in place. All personal data held by Dr JL Schultz will remain confidential. Our employees and partners have been made aware of the implications of the POPI Legislation and will adhere to the guidelines it sets out.

The Business respects your privacy.  As such, this privacy policy statement sets out the way in which we may gather information and disseminate it in respect of the Website.  It also governs the processing of Personal Information provided to the business through your interaction with my Website; 

    2. Please note that, due to legal and other developments, Dr Schultz may amend these terms and conditions from time to time.  It is your duty to remain apprised of the current version of this Privacy Policy; 

    3. Continuing to browse or use the Website constitutes your agreement to observe this Privacy Policy as may be revised. 

  3. Processing of Personal Information 

    1. You provide us with information when completing customer application forms, either in writing or on our website. This includes information you provide when you subscribe to any of our services.

    2. You may also provide us with information verbally over the telephone or by email when interacting with Dr Schultz.
      The information we may collect from you and retain includes:

      1. Names;

      2. Addresses;

      3. Phone numbers;

      4. Email addresses;

      5. Details of minors to whom you are legal guardian or parent. By providing your Personal Information to the Business you acknowledge that it has been collected directly from you and consent to its processing by us. 

    3. If you are providing Personal Information regarding a minor, you specifically consent to us retaining and processing such Personal Information and warrant that you are entitled to provide such Personal Information;

      6. If Personal Information is released with your consent, we shall retain a record of the information released, the third party to which it was released, the reason for the release, and the date of release, for a period of 1 (one) year from the date on which it was last used; and

We shall destroy or delete any Personal Information that is no longer needed by the Business for the purpose it was initially collected, or subsequently processed.  In addition, upon request (through the Contact Detail), we shall destroy or alter any Personal Information that we gathered from you. 

    5. We may, in accordance with the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 25 of 2002 use Personal Information collected to compile profiles for statistical purposes. No information contained in the profiles or statistics will be able to be linked to any specific user. 

  4. Collection of anonymous data 

    1. The Business may use standard technology to collect Information about the use of this Website. This technology is not able to identify individual users but simply allows me to collect statistics; 

    2. We may utilize temporary or session cookies to keep track of users’ browsing habits. A cookie is a small file that is placed on your hard drive, to keep a record of your interaction with this website and facilitate user convenience; 

    3. Cookies by themselves will not be used to identify users personally but may be used to compile identified statistics relating to use of services offered or to provide me with feedback on the performance of this website.
